| Yeah, right.
If anyone really thinks that, then they can f**k off completely.
If I didn't have my computer, then I'd be in real trouble. My computer saves on lots of paper and money because I can just download my porn instead of having to constantly buy magazines and pay for hookers.

Don't go off-topic. This thread is about technology, not personalities or sex. If you want to discuss sex, there's already a separate thread for that (you really need to be an adult to remain on this forum). There is no thread dedicated to personal/social matters, so you can either ask the administrator to approve such a thread, or you could try refraining from making explicit personal remarks about me personally or hypothesising about my sexual habits. Without getting too in-depth (or off-topic), sexually, for your information, I don't get off on people at all. I happen to be a 205cm female (chromosomally) but my physical appearance is that of an off-centred cycloptic, quadraplegic hermaphrodite (who likes to dress and groom femininely, masculinely or androgenously, depending on my mood) and I actually prefer sexual stimulation from inanimate objects (furniture, diagrams of electrical currents, photos of comatose accident victums, roadkill, torture implements, playing with hair follicles, smelling burning plastic, staring at bricks, listening to jet engines powering down, etc.). If it makes you feel any better, Crusty, I only have one leg, though (with 7 toes and a shortened femur). Technology is great. I hate it. Do you like it or are you a hypocrite, too?

| Let's all go and ride bikes. But without my computer there wouldn't be a Polly. Now ~Cristy~ and PhukEmAll-BushIdiot, shake hands and be friends. :redheart : | |

| I like technology. I mean, I have a walkman phone, a digital recorder, a pc + accessories, a Wacom Tablet for my art, etc.
BUT...it would be VERY interesting if all technology for some reason went on the blink. I can't stand big corporations and the way the world is going.
Here is a favourite artist of mine and his ideas on the subject (and others): Robert Bateman's Ideas
EDIT: I don't know why my posts all have big paragraph separations. Not my doing sorry.

| rightasrain....an interesting post.
How's your Wacom Tablet going? So far I've resisted buying one because I don't know what they are like.
Technology leads to consumerism and oil is need to run the factories to provide it. That's why Bush went and attacked Iraq. He wants more OIL.
And I had a quick look at your link on Bateman. I need time to look at it properly.
Try composing your posts after you hit the a/A button on the right of the text box so your post may not have big paragraphs . That may fix it. It's only a guess. .

| The tablet's great, Albert. When my wrist gets sore using the mouse I switch and use the tablet instead. I think you'd be hooked if you got one - especially painting etc. They are a must for painting I think and with what you do in the way of art, it would make a heap of difference. Edit: Thanks SO much for the tip re the paragraphs. As you can see it solved my problem | |

| rightasrain, I will go to town and check out the Wacom Tablets there. I'm glad the a/A button fixed the paragraph spacing in your posts. And the best piece of technology I bought recently was this BCL-2000 radio. I could not get ABC Classical FM until I bought this radio. This radio allows me to pick up radio stations clearly that are far away and it was not too expensive. | |

| Pretty nifty radio, Albert! My hubby bought a radio a while back but it's smaller than yours and more portable and not a ham radio. He just wanted it for when he's out the back working in the shed & garden. | |

| Well this radio is not big. I suppose it's hard to judge by the pic. And yes, It's a short wave radio as well and the batteries last forever. This one is very portable but the carring strap is not shown in the pic. . | |

| Yeah, it looks good........I bought it via mail order and all I had to go on when I ordered it was the pic and a description. It's very solid and well constructed too. | |

| Haha i laughed my but off at this entire page!!! Way off topic people. I have to say i have love hate relationship with technology. I know that technology keeps us in touch and hey i love messenger, google, my mp3 player, music downloads and the rest. I thought i was such an individual by voting to ride bikes (silent vote i know) but seems like many agree. I am conflicted though as i believe that technology and globalisation go hand in hand. Technology is used for good and for evil.. I guess you could say i have a love hate relationship with technology. I think it makes things less personal... Has anyone ever gone for a walk in the city, Brisbane for example? I can't get anyone to say g'day to me cos they all have their earphones in. Or they are on their mobiles. We all just pretend that other people don't exist.. | |

| Technology is good but it leads to consumerism. We all want to have the latest gadgets and the USA is a good example of this getting out of hand. One thing I do hate though is voice answering services on the phone. Half the time you never get to speak to a real person, and when you do get to speak to someone, they are too much in a rush because technology tend to speed things up too fast. | |
